New documents obtained from MN DOT, Contracts re: Vehicle Tracking System

I obtained some more documents from MN DOT recently, related to my request for documents related to its electronic tracking system for vehicles. These are contracts related to this program and contain all manner of military industrial complex agencies like SAIC, which has a very questionable looking contract.

Scam Alert: John Dunn, Little Rock, Arkansas, Claiming he is a "Mortgage Auditor"

This is not the usual fare for my blog, but I feel the need to warn the public about a scam that is being perpetrated on people who are in foreclosure.

An individual by the name of John Dunn from Little Rock, Arkansas is claiming to be a "mortgage auditor" and is giving out incorrect information to people for a high price. His telephone number is 501-228-0877 and his email address is oliver@ipa.net. This person gives people advice about the propriety of the foreclosures on their homes. He does not know what he is talking about, does not obtain appropriate title work, and does not provide written reports. It's detrimental for people to rely on this person's advice. This person is not a licensed attorney in any jurisdiction as far as I can tell.

If you or someone you know is facing foreclosure and have questions about bankruptcy or foreclosure, find a reputable lawyer of your choosing in your area, or go to nacba.org to find an attorney.

Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty will not be attending Bilderberg Meeting in Switzerland.

I have seen speculation on the Internet that indicated that former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty was invited to, and will be attending the Bilderberg Group meeting in St. Moritz, Switzerland. This meeting is presently being widely reported in the media, and as I write this it is at the top of Drudge Report. I was able to get in touch with Alex Conant, the Communications Director for Tim Pawlenty's Presidential campaign to ask him about Mr. Pawlenty's potential attendance at Bilderberg.

Governor Pawlenty's campaign denies that Mr. Pawlenty will be attending the Bilderberg meeting in Switzerland. His campaign indicated that he will be in New Hampshire all weekend.

Update on Minnesota Department of Transportation Data Practices Request & Raw Milk Legislation.

Today I visited the Minnesota Department of Transportation's Central Office in St. Paul. The purpose of my visit was a Minnesota Data Practices Act request I had made to MN DOT relating to its project to tax Minnesotans by the miles they drive in their cars and to track their movements and send these movements to a national database.

I was not provided paper copies of documents. I was provided the documents on a laptop computer at MN DOT central office. I was not provided my entire request, just contracts that were requested. The documents were located on the hard-drive of the laptop I was given to use to look at the documents. It was not plugged in, and its battery ran out a few minutes after I started using it. The person assigned to watch me look at the old laptop did not plug it back in. Rather, an attorney for MN DOT appeared, told me I couldn't use a flash drive to get the documents, and plugged the laptop back in.

These documents reveal a contract with intelligence agency front company, a private foundations and other companies of unknown origin and the State of Minnesota. I was only allowed to take pictures of some of the documents with my phone. Negotiations relating to obtaining all of the documents asked for continue.

I have several other pictures I will host by FTP for those who are interested.

Raw Milk in Minnesota update.

I have posted previously on this blog about the absurd bureaucracy of the State of Minnesota Department of Agriculture and its cynical interpretation of laws relating to raw milk, which is legal in Minnesota.

Senator Doug Magnus, R-22 has refused many requests from very legitimate activists to meet with him on the issue of raw milk legislation. Many of these people are long time GOP activists who were surprised they were turned down for even a brief meeting.

Senator Magnus, R-22, of Slayton, Minnesota should lose his Republican endorsement for his seat. He does not deserve an endorsement that represents small government and freedom.

If you live this area or have a friend or family member who does, I urge you to look at this issue and decided if Senator Magnus, R-22 of Slayton, Minnesota deserves a Republican endorsement in his community.

Minnesota Department of Transportation's New "Road Fee Test" - New Data Practices Act Request

I started this blog in 2007 as a place to put my data practices act responses from the Minnesota Department of Transportation relating to its membership in NASCO, an organization working to promote a centralized tracking of all transportation in North America. In 2007, the Minnesota Legislature and then-Governor Tim Pawlenty set aside $5 million to begin implementation of this Orwellian Nightmare. Governor Dayton has continued this Orwellian Dream of "Total Domain Awareness" and is now asking for volunteers to begin implementing the program.

This program is touted as a way to increase revenue for transportation. While it's possible it may do that, that's not really what this program is about. I posted documents from MN DOT in May, 2007 on this blog that indicate that the military industrial complex is the hand behind this program. This is not a "conspiracy theory." This is from documents that were obtained from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This tracking program is about tracking every piece of transportation - civilian and military, in a central location.

There is plenty of money around, the Government spends trillions on wars and bailouts for banks and other businesses. A paranoid elite is not really concerned about money - they control all of the money. They are concerned about control of the population and its movement. The Department of Homeland Security has implemented regional fusion centers for domestic intelligence purposes, and it is mentioned in the original documents that I obtained from MN DOT that this information would be shared with law enforcement.

It does not appear that MN DOT is a member of NASCO anymore, but it appears that this program is marching forward under other auspices. Since it has been four years and MN DOT is now rolling out its transportation tracking program, I figured it was time for a new data practices act request. Here is that request, which I am putting in today's mail:

Hopefully MN DOT will be forthcoming with these documents. If they are not, I will pursue my legal remedies to obtain these documents. Don't support any politicians that support these Orwellian programs.

Tom Emmer, Cancer Clinic Cartels, and ObamaCare.

While Tom Emmer was in the Legislature he fought very hard against imposing an anti-free market, anti-patient radiation treatment center moratorium. Now that Emmer is out of elected office he has taken a position as a lobbyist fighting to not only keep the anti-free market law into place, but is working to EXTEND the current moratorium.

Tom Emmer is registered as a lobbyist and is working to continue a moratorium on new cancer treatment centers.

The MN GOP platform says this, "As Republicans, we support programs that introduce genuine market competition to our health care system and thus reduce health care costs and eliminate state mandated coverage of various illnesses and conditions."

A moratorium against new radiation treatment centers is inherently against the market competition health care system that we believe in and is against the platform that many of us have fought so hard to craft. Not only is Tom Emmer against the free market and the platform, he changed his position when it was politically convenient. He went from pro-free market to being anti-free market. Government regulating private health care delivery is only a tiny sliver of what ObamaCare aims to accomplish.

Update on Minnesota Department of Agriculture & its Raw Milk Surge.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has adopted the position that the Minnesota Statute permitting the sale of Raw Milk can only be accomplished under the following the circumstances:

1) Directly from a dairy farmer;

2) Sold at a dairy farm, purchased by the consumer directly. One cannot have a friend pick up some milk for you if they are in the area, one cannot hire ANYONE to deliver the milk. Not the farmer's son, not the farmer himself (running a dairy farm is a job that requires constant attention).

3) A farmer cannot set up bottling facilities and sell his milk. Existing bottling facilities approved for sale of pasteurized milk are not acceptable.

4) Consumer must bring their own bottling materials. Forget about buying a nice jug of milk from an already inspected bottling facility. Bring your own jug, bring a bucket, bring your oil pan, bring your cat litter pan, all of these are acceptable over the dreaded farmer bottling the milk.

Is this freedom? Wake up people! Is raw milk legal in Iran? What are Iran's laws on raw milk?

If anyone from the Department of Agriculture disputes any of these distillations of its policies, I will immediately publish their response on this blog. My investigation reveals this summary to be accurate.

Update on Mark Dayton's Raw Milk Crackdown: Here is the Warrant

The State of Minnesota is flat broke. In my 14 years of experience in the criminal justice system, many crimes, such as property crimes, are not usually investigated by the Police. I have had police on numerous occasions flatly refuse to investigate car thefts or even take a report. DWI traffic stops, prostitution sting operations, and now private food clubs draw the gaze of the "officials." The United States is now one of the most oppressive police states on earth. The people, the slaves on this plantation, are now the enemy.

Raw Milk is legal in Minnesota. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has decided to take a cynical view of the law in which they contend that every single person seeking to purchase raw milk should have to individually drive to far away farms to purchase it. In my opinion, this position derives from a Department of Agriculture that is heavily influenced by the Dairy Cartel. Is this position good for the environment? Why bother forcing us to pay for windmills while you force us to waste so much fuel? Is the government completely insane? Yes, it is.

If you look at the search warrant application, you will see that it is not signed by the officer. This is a violation of the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which states as follows:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Call your Minnesota representatives and complain about this injustice.

BREAKING: Among the Thugs, Mark Dayton's Department of Agriculture's Theft From Alvin Schlangen Today

At 9:00 this morning, Alvin Schlangen was boxed in near Macalester College. Two St. Paul squad cars and two Department of Agriculture squad cars boxed in Alvin Schlangen's van as he stopped to deliver eggs to a co-op in St. Paul. He was not arrested, but his van was impounded with all of its farm-fresh contents. He was not allowed to deliver eggs to the co-op. His van was taken to 625 Robert Street and remains there with its contents. The people from the Department of Agriculture apparently had a warrant.

The Department of Agriculture indicated that they were stealing all of the contents of Alvin's van. There are 60 families awaiting milk and eggs and other food from Alvin.

Presently at 11:00 a.m. Alvin Schlangen is at the Department of Agriculture Headquarters awaiting word from government officials about what is going to happen to the contents of the truck.

We can see that the Mark Dayton administration is every bit as bad as the Tim Pawlenty administration on the issue of food freedom. Raw milk is legal in Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture just doesn't believe people can cooperatively own cows and have milk that they have paid for delivered by an agent of the farmer. As dark people are bombed overseas to bring them freedom, we live in an intolerable police state at home. I have remarked several times that there is likely much more food freedom in Iran than there is in the United States. Further, real food safety threats like high fructose corn syrup and aspartame are never investigated by the "authorities."

Call Governor Mark Dayton today and tell him you don't agree with his police state tactics interfering with food freedom: 651-201-3400.

Restaurant Review: Mr. BBQ: Maplewood at 694 & White Bear Avenue

Many months ago I saw some indications that a location that had previously been a computer repair place and a "Fazoli's" was going to open as a "Mr. BBQ." This outfit also has a location in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Based upon the announcements at the location, there were several delays in the opening of this expansion store. I even called and asked the Columbia Heights location to as when the White Bear Lake location was finally going to open. The date that it actually did open was past what I was told. Even so, it's always good to see a new business where there previously was an empty building.

In order to have an even measure against which I could gauge my experience, I ordered pork ribs for my meal. I have previously written about ribs in the Twin Cities on this blog. I do not receive any renumeration from any place I eat, and my opinions are my own. That said, I am respected among my friends for my opinions on food and restaurants in the Twin Cities, especially ribs.

I arrived at Mr. BBQ in Maplewood on February 24, 2011. I ordered the half-rack of St. Louis Pork Ribs. These ribs were about the same cost as those at Ted Cooks Barbeque in Minneapolis. I never expect perfect ambiance at a good rib place - Ted Cooks has no place to eat there at all - it's all takeout. Everything is relative. At Mr. BBQ, there was a dining room that was clean and sparsely supplied. It was winter and physically cold - global warming had yet to put its sweltering grip on this restaurant.

The rib meal I ordered and received was the half-rack of pork ribs with macaroni & cheese and corn on the cob. Neither of the sides was fantastic. The macaroni & cheese was overcooked and bland, and the corn on the cob was not offered with any butter or salt and pepper. It was merely boiled. There was no salt and pepper offer in shakers at the tables, only small packets offered at the pop machine.

The meat of the ribs was of decent quality, however, there was no "smoke ring" that one expects with ribs of this cost. That is, these ribs had not been smoked, they had been prepared with some combination of baking and grilling. They were not bad, but they were not prepared in the best way such ribs could have been prepared.

The sauce that was offered was a dark and sugary sauce reminiscent of KC Masterpiece. There are people among whom this type of sauce is popular, and this one was well done, but I prefer a thinner, more vinegary sauce.

Mr. BBQ had many other types of food that it offered, including the special mentioned on the sign above. I did not have the opportunity to sample these dishes. I will try Mr. BBQ again at a later date. One great thing about Minnesota is all of the fantastic effort that is put into BBQ in this state. I have not eaten any BBQ in the south that compares with that of Minnesota.

If I were to give some tips to Mr. BBQ, I would tell them to make sliced JoJo Potatoes, create their own decent sauce, and to deep fry their frozen corn cobs for a special treat for their guests.

Overall, I give Mr. BBQ a B- for its BBQ efforts. They are appreciated and I hope to see greater things in the future from MR. BBQ.

Blue Print for Victory: A Training Course for Republican Leadership

A childhood friend of mine had a nanny while he was growing up. That nanny has known me since I was a kid in Junior High. My friend and I are now in our thirties. Awhile ago, this woman's grandmother passed on and she was working on cleaning out a lifetime's worth of stuff from the woman's farm near Orono. She found a bound book entitled: "Blue Print for Victory: A Training Course for Republican Leadership" in one of the outbuildings and saved it for me. My friend brought it over to my house awhile ago. Someone scanned this document into PDF format for me, and I am now posting it for all to read. It appears to be a Minnesota Republican Party document from about 1950.

I have not read this document from cover to cover, but I have perused it. It decries the corruption of the "Farmer-Laborites" (some things never change, right?) and also provides a window into a very different time in Minnesota. This was a time when the country produced more things, when the government was a lot smaller, and the country was in the midst of the post-WWII boom.

I do not have the time to launch into analysis of this document today, but it does contain interesting pieces about improving unemployment benefits, increasing "Old Age Assistance" (e.g., "under Republican leadership, the legislatures [sic] have recognized the rising cost of living, and have increased the monthly benefits Two and a Half Times!"), and doubling assistance to the blind.

To me, this document shows how out of control our state government has gotten with the Federal development of the welfare/warfare state and unrestrained inflation from the private Federal Reserve Bank that issues our credit and currency in quantities that are not known to us plebes.

The DFL Windmill Plot Against Minnesota's Bird Population

There is a lot of discussion in Minnesota politics these days about windmills. Matt Entenza, one of the three DFL'ers seeking the right to be the Democrat on the gubernatorial ballot, features windmills in several of his commercials. These commercials show Matt Entenza standing before several different sets of windmills and talking about how awesome he is. It's unlikely that Mr. Entenza is attempting to portray a Quixotic image with this windmill theme, and rather he states his goal on his website is "...creating jobs through the clean energy economy."

Apparently Mr. Entenza's plan (similar to that of other DFL candidates) is for some new fangled taxing scheme that will fund this albatross. This "clean energy" economy would be funded by a tax on carbon emissions and other new taxes and fees, which would include but are not limited to an increase in rates for electricity and other forms of energy. This economy would be mandated by the government picking some form of energy against another, specifically these would be government-protected "clean energy" cartels. Wall Street Banking firms, such as bailout-receiving Goldman Sachs, have been working on developing this new more controlled economy for many years. There are plans to base exotic financial instruments, such as the derivatives that continue to plague our financial system, on "carbon credits," an imaginary form of value invented by these charlatans.

In addition to the pure economic reasons for not supporting government subsidized windmills, there is the harm that they do to the natural environment. They are noisy, they take away habitat for many animals, and most egregiously, they kill birds. That windmills kills birds has been covered by the Wall Street Journal, the USA Today and many other publications and news sources. It's this bird apocalypse plan proposed by Matt Entenza that is at the very top of my complaints about plans for more subsidized windmills.

I have a bird feeder in my yard. My wife and I love to sit on our three-season porch in North St. Paul and watch birds eat from the bird feeder we installed and maintain. Most of my neighbors have bird feeders and enjoy watching birds. Fortunately for our birds, our North St. Paul windmill is poorly located so it rarely turns, it is near the downtown area of North St. Paul where there are a lot of trees and buildings. Another reason that it rarely turns is that it was purchased used from California for over $400,000 and is not designed to function in cold weather. Toward the end of last winter, the City of North St. Paul (which owns the windmill) had a heater in the windmill installed so that the oil in it would become less viscous and then turn. I have always wondered if the windmill generates enough power to power the heater that it needs to turn in the Fall, Winter and Spring months.

Matt Entenza proposes big huge windfarms that will be nothing but bird killing fields. Do not support the DFL's propsed bird kill-off. Do not support any candidates that propose subsidy of bird killing windmills. At this point, the only major candidate in the race who has firmly demonstrated his commitment to Minnesota's Bird population by not supporting windmill schemes is Tom Emmer.

Welfare/Warfare Queen Rep. Betty McCollum (D, CD4-MN), on bombing Pakistan or How Betty Learned to Stop Thinking and Love the Predator Drones.

There has been a great deal of talk by Puppet-in-Chief Barry Soetoro about perceived threats related to the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Specifically, that "terrorists" will obtain nuclear weapons and detonate them in major cities around the world.

Let's assume, arguendo, that this is indeed a potential problem and that "Al-Qaeda" is something other than the Arab Legion of the CIA. If one were truly worried about freelance terrorists obtaining nuclear materials, one aspect of such a policy would be to, at a minimum, not contribute to the destabilization of nation-states that do indded possess nuclear weapons and the means by which to deliver them (e.g., missiles).

Pakistan is a country that shares borders with China, Afghanistan, India and Iran. The region has historically had an affinity for China. Pakistan has a population of nearly 170 million people. It possesses nuclear weapons, and missile technology obtained from North Korea that enables it to deliver these nuclear weapons to its neighbors.

For several months I have contacted Rep. Betty McCollum's office about the Soetoro administration's ongoing bombing of Pakistan with Predator drones, which are remote-controlled airplanes. For a long time the administration denied that this was happening even though it was in the newspapers in Pakistan. It turns out that when women and children and unknown others are killed by remote controlled airplanes, it causes quite a stir in the local media. Its estimated that thousands have been killed by these Predator drone attacks. We are not at war with Pakistan, and no war declaration has been made by the U.S. Congress.

My question to Rep. McCollum's Office was essentially: "Do you support this ongoing bombing and destabilization of this nuclear-armed country, Pakistan?" Finally, after many calls, my response arrived. In her letter, Betty McCollum essentially says that the people who perpetrated the crime of 9-11 are in these "Northwest Frontier Provinces" of Pakistan that are "outside the control of the Pakistani government." Rep. McCollum goes on to state that these continued bombings of unknown individuals is "critical." I submit to the Congresswoman that even if Osama bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan and he was carrying the child of the Devil himself and about to give birth, ongoing bombing of this nuclear-armed country does not improve our security.

What Betty McCollum cannot or will not understand is the geopolitics of this bombing of Pakistan and the real reasons behind it. A full explanation is beyond the scope of this article, but in essence the real purpose bombing of Pakistan tribal areas with Predator drones is to destabilize Pakistan and enrage the Pashtun people, who live in both countries. The destabilization strategy against Pakistan, is in large part a play against China, a traditional ally of Pakistan, and presently involved in financing a multi-billion dollar port project in Quetta, Pakistan. Ongoing chaos is also used as the justification for US presence in the region. Problem, reaction, solution.

I have not seen a scintilla of evidence against any of the people who have been bombed with Predator drones in Pakistan. Mere assertions from our mendacious government or the thug Leon Panetta (as cited by Betty in her letter) about "terrorists" residing there are not sufficient justification for me to have these killings done in my name. Further, even if you believe the "terrorist" story regurgitated by Rep. McCollum, Predator drone bombings are a destabilizing force in a country that does indeed possess nuclear weapons. A good way to get nuclear weapons into the hands of rogue folks who might want to use them is the bomb the hell out of the country in which the nuclear weapons are present and anger the civilian population with these bombings.

It's mental deficient people like Betty McCollum who most certainly do not belong in Congress.

"The Project for a New American Century: Rebuilding America's Defenses," Vin Weber, and the Minnesota Governor's Race

It was with some despair that I learned that Rep. Tom Emmer has received an endorsement from former Congressman and now longtime Washington, DC lobbyist Vin Weber. In the 1980s, when I was in elementary school and Ronald Reagan was President, I admired Rep. Weber.

By the time I had reached my late 20s (as I write this I am 33), I had come to loathe Vin Weber for views he had endorsed. Specifically, Rep. Weber was a signatory to a document produced by a think-tank calling itself "The Project for a New American Century" called "Rebuilding America's Defenses." Among a veritable treasure trove of neoconservative nuttiness in this document is the following on page 72:

"...advanced forms of biological warfare that can 'target' specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool."

It's these sorts of views that cause me to reject and despise "neoconservatism" with a passion. Weapons designed to kill people based upon their race would be a dream of the worst tyrants in history. I judge people by the content of their character, not their race, color, or creed.

I cannot support anyone affiliated with these insane views.

Betty McCollum Approves of Obama's Extrajudicial Killings at Home & Abroad

For the past few weeks, I have contacted Congresswoman Betty McCollum's Office several times about the ongoing Predator drone bombings of unknown people in Pakistan. I was alarmed at a Sy Hersh piece I read in the New Yorker and several other pieces I have read about unknown populations of people being bombed by Predator drones in Pakistan. The administration does not officially admit that these killings are going on, but they are widely reported on in Pakistan and around the world. Sometimes over 100 people will be killed in a bombing. I have no idea who these people are, and who is deciding that they should be summarily executed in such a fashion.

These unknown people who reside in this country with whom we are not at war, are referred to by some as "terrorists." It is the Obama administration that is carrying out these attacks. Even if you are to assume for the sake of argument that Pakistan is harboring "terrorists" or even the Devil himself, it is dangerous and unwise to be bombing Pakistan in this way. Pakistan is a country with a population in excess of 160 million people. It possesses nuclear weapons, and it possesses missile technology obtained from North Korea. Ongoing bombings with remote control airplanes is destabilizing, and puts the world at risk.

Obama's Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair has recently stated that U.S. Intelligence agencies may also summarily execute Americans, with the approval from Obama. Source: Reuters, February 3, 2010.

My very simple questions for Betty McCollum were and are:

1) Does Congresswoman McCollum support the ongoing bombings of Pakistan with Predator drones?; and

2) Does Congresswoman McCollum support the Obama administration policy of extra-judicial killing of American citizens by U.S. intelligence agencies?

Betty McCollum's staff has emphatically refused to answer either of these questions, and refused to let me speak to the person handling foreign affairs, at first stating that they were not available, and then stating that they are "never available."

Congresswoman McCollum's silence and evasion of these serious questions demonstrate her support for ongoing illegal, murderous and unconstitutional policies. Could she at least speak up for her hard-working constituents to her friend Obama? Should our tax money be used to bomb these people in Pakistan and to murder our own citizens?

Call Rep. Betty McCollum's office today at (202) 225-6631 and ask her what her position is on these issues. Representative McCollum's silence is deafening on this issue. If she is too much of a coward to stand up to her elite controllers, then she doesn't belong in the U.S. House of Representatives for CD 4 in Minnesota.

Today the Minnesota Senate passed a $1 billion bonding bill (SF 2360).In a Legislature controlled by the DFL, this is not surprising.What is surprising and disappointing is that nine “Republicans” voted for this monstrosity.A plan to “create jobs” by borrowing money and spending it on government projects is ridiculous.Government does not create wealth; it merely redistributes and destroys wealth.Here are the NINE “Republican In Name Only” (RINO) Senators who voted for this terrible piece of legislation:

Moody's has revised the outlook on the State of Minnesota's general obligation bonds and state supported debt to negative from stable. Further, Moody's has affirmed the state's Aa1 general obligation rating, and the Aa2 rating assigned to state supported debt, which includes the St. Paul Port Authority (State office building project), City of Bemidji lease appropriation, and the Minnesota Credit Enhancement Program.

Will borrowing even more money help us even more? I can see Student Government DFL types voting for this nonsense; but not any Republicans. This is why there is a growing resistance in this country against this type of arrogance. Times are tough for people, but for the public sector, the attitude continues to be: "It's my job or yours." Let's hope that this bill is met with stiff resistance in the Minnesota House and that Governor Pawlenty vetoes this terrible bill.We cannot continue to support RINOs representing us in our government.They sell us down the river with more debt and out of control spending. Twin Cities Rib Redux: Cap's, Ted Cook's, Big Daddy's 'Saturday Only,' Roosters, Rudolph's BBQ & Market BBQ

Not everything is wrong with the world. In the Twin Cities, where I have lived most of my life, we have some of the best rib joints in the world. Since I was a kid, I always enjoyed ribs. There was a place called PT Pit BBQ that we went to sometimes that was delicious. It is not now in business.

Many wonderful rib places thrive in the Twin Cities. I am offering reviews of the following restaurants with the utmost respect to all of them. I only mention them because I have positive things to say about them. I have carefully sampled all of the restaurants I mention and provide first hand analysis.

It's difficult to rank ribs, but the following is my Twin Cities Top 6:

Breaking: Norm Coleman says "i'm not looking for another elected ofice [sic]" in post on facebook.

In response to a recent post on his facebook wall by a well-known GOP activist, Jennifer DeJournett, Norm Coleman stated as follows:

"i have the greatest respect for all your efforts on behalf of our party and conserative values. i'm not looking for another elected ofice. but i do care about whether folks in this state can find a job and take care of their families. i also have a proven record as a former mayor of growing jobs by keeping lids on taxes and reforming govt-a record of real change!
i fully respect the endorsement process-but none of us should ever be afraid of listening to the voices of the people(or the party faithful). if that was done more often washington wouldn't be about to stuff government run health care down our throats!

Everything I have heard indicates that Norm is running for Governor, therefore his written assertions on facebook appear to be simply not true. Norm's record of Bankster Bailouts and carbon tax bills have not done working people in Minnesota any favors. Bailouts for Wall Street elites have been put on our back and Norm voted for it. Norm seems to hint in this post replete with weasel words and equivocation that there is some sort of grassroots support for him to run for Governor.

I received a call from "Capitol Research Group" from a Washington DC area code a few days ago. They indicated that they were working off of a "MN GOP list." I don't know if it was a list they got from the MN GOP or not, I sort of doubt that it was received directly from the Party. The last question asked of me was: "Who would you vote for in a Norm Coleman versus Mark Dayton governor race?" Obviously, this is the Washington establishment putting forth its dream slate of "heads I win, tails you lose" candidates.

Is Norm Coleman Electable? Carbon Taxes, Bailouts, the expansion of the ATF & 30 years of Government Paychecks & Elections

The evidence of Norm Coleman's involvement in carbon tax bills has been covered previously in this blog. He co-sponsored a carbon tax bill with Chuck Schumer, Ron Wyden, and Amy Klobuchar. Norm also voted for the Bankster Bailout that has resulted in unknown amounts of money (by some estimates in excess of $27 trillion) going to Wall Street Banksters.

Norm Coleman is not electable for multiple reasons:

1) Has been a career politician for 30 years;
2) Voted for Bankster Bailout;
3) Has lost elections to wrestlers and comedians;
4) Only a tragic plane crash gave him the upper hand in an election;
5) Will profess that he supports gun rights but ATF has multiplied in size during his watch;
6) Will talk about how he is pro-life, but cannot point to any progress on this front in 30 years of public office.

Whoever you support for Governor of Minnesota, do not subject us to someone who is demonstrably an agent of Banksters. Go to your precinct caucuses on February 2, 2010 for the GOP and become a delegate against Bankster Bailouts.

Letter from North St. Paul: “Climate Change,” "Carbon Taxes,” Document Requests and Other Topics of Interest to the General Public.

I apologize for not writing a blog post for quite some time. The work I have relating to document requests – a common, and the originating, theme of this blog has been stalled by the work of life and to some extent a bureaucracy that is frankly too large for me to tackle alone.

The University of Minnesota is a staggeringly large institution and my requests relating to its Minnesota Supercomputer Institute (MSI), which is available for use by seemingly any large entity, including defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, have not really been answered with the clarity I would have wanted. My request has been to review any records and contracts and the like related to any relationship between the MSI and The Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics. I don’t have anything to add anything beyond this on this subject, except that I consider my requests open at this point and will provide updates, if any.

The main reason I am updating is to write a short piece about “Climate Change” and “Carbon Taxes” and “Derivatives.” The fact is, Minnesota is already engaged in an "accord," signed by Governor Tim Pawlenty, that contains an accord between it and some other states and the Canadian Province of Manitoba relating to limiting carbon emissions and The accord includes plans to:

• “Establish greenhouse gas reduction targets and timeframes consistent with the Midwestern Governors Association (MGA) member states' targets.
• Develop a market-based and multisector cap-and-trade mechanism to help achieve those reduction targets.
• Establish a system to enable tracking, management, and crediting for entities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• Develop and implement additional steps to achieve the reduction targets, such as a low-carbon fuel standards and regional incentives and funding mechanisms.”

One of the most important issues to consider is cui bono or “who benefits?” Public radio and most mainstream media does not seem to speak about anything but Afghanistan, Iraq, Climate Change and H1N1. The draft climate change treaty was written by PriceWaterHouseCoopers, traditionally an accounting firm now touting itself as a consultancy for global legislation relating to “climate change.” It is a plan to vacuum wealth from everyone on the planet. This is not a conspiracy theory. The new European President, Herman Von Rompuy recently said this is the "first year of global governance with the G20 in Copenhagen.”

Even otherwise educated people who know about the medieval warm period and the fact that the world is 4.6 billion years old are tipped over by the endless propaganda. What about continental drift? We could no sooner pass an effective tax against that than we can the weather. Even assuming, arguendo, that everything asserted on all mainstream news outlets is true, would a global tax drafted by PriceWaterHouseCoopers for bankers and payable to bankers change the weather? I am aware of Lloyd Blankfein, chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs recently saying that he is doing “God’s Work,” however I am dubious that this is really the case, or which god he is talking about.

Proposed legislation relating to cap and trade allows for making derivatives with the various "carbon credits." Derivatives are a black hole of which there are unknown quadrillions of them in debt relating to dollars. As a lawyer doing legal work that sometimes relates to real property transactions, I have seen an upset in the entire system from mortgages being "severed" from their accompanying notes which were then turned into derivatives. These notes, previously attached to mortgages, become part of large securitized trusts that are used as a basis for derivatives.

I don't want my children growing up in a world where he/she is buying carbon credits or having carbon credits assigned to him/her to enrich some banksters. These Malthusian plans hurt all of us. We need to stand strong against them at every turn. It's nonsense, and demonstrably so.

Recently e-mails from East Anglia University, one of the hubs of “Climate Change” rhetoric were leaked to the Internet, and were met with wide coverage in independent media and no coverage and Cover-up in the mainstream media. The East Anglia emails prove these schemes are based on and designed for fraud. In the East Anglia e-mails, there is proof of manipulation of data, destruction of data, the exclusion of other points of view from peer-reviewed journals, and active resistance to “open records” requests. This is the “Madoff” scheme times a billion and the “Petters” scandal times a trillion.

If any politician has voted for any of these schemes, or has participated in entering into any agreements relating to this purportedly on behalf of the public, they have wittingly or unwittingly been party to a large fraudulent scheme. At this time, we need investigations of thisPonzi scheme on every government level, including on the Congressional level, as urged by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK). It follows that any legislation, agreements, accords, memorandums of understanding or the like seeking to expand or build upon “carbon credits” should be immediately cancelled, dissolved, or withdrawn from.

This “Carbon Credit and Cap and Trade” crime plan is designed to make the biggest bubble yet: the global carbon tax and carbon credit bubble. We will all pay more of our taxes for a global crime syndicate to laugh at us as we enslave ourselves in our own countries - competing to be more "green" and being sucked dry by a global tax based on something with no objective thoroughly accurate predictive measure - the changes in the weather. All the while we will pay them all of our money and watch our country continue to be de-industrialized.

Back in 2005, Rep. Colin Peterson (D-MN, 1st District), sponsored a terrifying bill, HR 1254, in which he planned the following (description from Library of Congress):

“National Farm Animal Identification and Records Act - Amends the Animal Health Protection Act to direct the Secretary of Agriculture to establish an electronic nationwide livestock identification system to enhance the Department of Agriculture's response to outbreaks of livestock disease. Requires that such system: (1) be capable of tracing, within 48 hours, livestock from birth to slaughter; (2) provide for access by States and inclusion of State information; and (3) apply to all livestock born or imported into the United Sates, and to interstate and intrastate commerce. Exempts, with specified exceptions, system information from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act or other release into the public domain. Authorizes the Secretary to: (1) provide producer participation assistance; and (2) appoint an international panel of scientific experts to review the Department's response to an outbreak of livestock disease.”

If Colin Peterson did not have any particular influence over this legislation, this would be bad, because he is a member of Congress, but it would not be as shocking or imminent. However, Mr. Peterson is the Chair of the House Committee on Agriculture. Someone in this position, as a sponsor and a Chair of the committee over the bill, is perfectly positioned to get this bill to the floor of the House of Representatives for a vote.

This bill did not pass in 2005. Even so, the threat of this pernicious Orwellian scheme is made more imminent by Mr. Peterson and his anti-freedom agenda. Please call his office at (202) 225-2165 and let him know that we will be much better off without his controllers in Washington putting RFID chips in our livestock. Ask him why he thinks he deserves this level of control over your life.

The Heart of Neoconservatism is Communism: The Release of MN GOP State Central Committee email list by the blog "Minnesota Conservatives"

The heart of neoconservatism (rife on the blog "Minnesota Conservatives", see this Neocon gem of a "Islamofascist" post, for example) is communism (Ron Paul on the communist roots of "neoconservatism"). Consistent with this philosophy of socialism and communism, the authors of "Minnesota Conservatives" have misappropriated private property that did not belong to them.

While I agree there could likely be an electronic ability to securely login and communicate with other members of state central (of which I am a member), this neoconservative/communist conversion of this property was untoward, precipitant, and otherwise not consistent with bolstering the integrity and strength of our party.

These lists posted publicly render them largely useless and subject to spamming by people who might not particularly care for Republicans. It takes a lot of money and resources to develop and maintain these lists, and they need to be protected. There are plenty of means by which we can communicate with our fellow Republicans, such as these blogs, and twitter, and facebook, and the telephone. If the folks who have spent so much time whining about being given party lists for free (socialism) spent 1/4 of that time to pick up the phone and call some people and develop some contacts around the state, they would have already built their own damn list by now.

The State Central list is provided to candidates who are running for party offices. It is my understanding that they sign a contract wherein they agree to specific terms by which they will use the lists. Violating that contract can be a serious matter.

Email addresses in an of themselves are not private, but the collection of them, when carefully collected and kept private, can be considered a trade secret. The law protects trade secrets. Lists are assets. If everyone has the list, as in the neoconservative communist utopia envisioned by John Gilmore, author of "Minnesota Conservatives," then they are worthless. Would DFLers like to spam our lists? You bet there would be that element in that party who are probably going to do so already as a result of these actions.

It does not appear that Mr. Gilmore "stood them down" (his words, not mine) in this case, as he has now removed the e-mail addresses from his blog. I don't find the release of these e-mail addresses to be in the least bit cute, funny, or just.

Instead of whining about getting something someone else made for free, we need to act like real conservatives and build our own stuff. The time spent whining about the lists is time wasted and entirely not constructive. Go out and fight the statists, not each other.

In accordance with this information I have received, I have drafted two new data practices act requests to the University of Minnesota. One deals with the intellectual property created at the Cargill Building for Microbial & Plant Genomics, which appears to become property of Cargill. The other request deals with the Minnesota Supercomputer Institute and asks for the following information:

1) All contracts, user agreements and all other communications between all MSI personnel/programs/projects and any personnel/programs/projects administered by the following:

Whether DNA is "de-identified" or not, it is still our property. These studies being conducted without our consent or knowledge is beyond demeaning to human dignity. One wonders if the Democrats who fought so hard to try and increase the power to confiscate our DNA this prior legislative session are aware of these studies that are being conducted with the DNA of Minnesota infants. It's not just about a quick genetic test to look for obscure genetic diseases, it's about a huge multi-million dollar operation involving the State of Minnesota, the private Mayo Clinic, and other private multinational companies.

I attended a Continuing Legal Education course entitled: “What's Next in Law, Health & the Life Sciences? Debating Openness, Access & Accountability” on March 6, 2009 (I know the video says March 19, 2009, but I was mistaken when I encoded the video, consider it a clerical error). It was recommended to me by another attorney who knew I was interested in these issues. It exceeded my expectations. I got in two questions at two different presentations. At the first presentation, I asked about something one of the lecturers had said: that the Department of Homeland Security had special access to a special DNA database at the United States Department of Health. The answer I received (video later perhaps) was that this would used to track “criminals and their families.” (this is my best recollection, but this was the general answer to my question).

The second question to Larry Gostin was even better. This avowed globalist and architect of the Model State Health Emergency Powers Act ends a speech about how we all need "Global Health Governance" imposed with the financing and control of the IMF and World Bank with two questions. The first is from a Professor in the Philosophy Department, and the latter question is from me. Notice how his body language changes when I am about halfway through my question:

Like Global Warming and this fake and illegal Ponzi scheme "credit crisis," there is another scam being run called "Global Health Governance." Globalism is part and parcel of ongoing collection of our DNA, including that of newborns.

Furthermore, I have some new documents that I have posted that I received in response to a Data Practices Act Request that I made quite some time ago. Our DNA is already involved in studies wherein International Corporations located in foreign countries are involved as "co-principal investigators" in studies on the DNA of Minnesota's Children. One such study is entitled: "New GALT Galtactose-1 Phosphate Uridyl Transferase Feasibility Study" involves "PerkinElmer Life & Analytical Sciences located in Turku, Finland." If you look at the thirteenth page of this document, you will see that "local support" for PerkinElmer, lies with "Janet Perkins, Genetic Screening - Sales...Shelton, Connecticut."

Why is our DNA being harvested at our own expense for private profit? These documents, from the Minnesota Department of Health, indicate that this exactly what is going on. On page 42 of this PDF document, one Minnesota Department of Health Supervisor says: "It looks exempt to me, it seems to be covered by the newborn screening franchise" in response to an email about whether the Department's Institutional Review Board would have to approve this study based out of Turku, Finland. As I have written about previously in this blog, the State of Minnesota's contract with the Mayo Clinic for blood spot analysis has a clause that could very easily be treated catchall backdoor to keep and study blood spots for all manner of purported reasons. It appears that this is most certainly the case. The "franchise" the supervisor is referring to is likely the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics.

The Minnesota Omnibus Higher Education Bill, which I wrote about a short while ago, passed with $16 Million in direct state payments to the Partnership, in substantial form to the legislation cited before in my prior article. There are myriad other areas lurking in the legislation recently passed directing other money to the Partnership and its affiliate "public-private" bureaucracies.

If one were ever in doubt that we are the property of the state, such doubt should be erased by this program in which our state government pays for our DNA to be collected to a private entity, which in turn provides it to another private entity for development of "genetic testing" for sale.

We are not livestock!

Clueless: Betty McCollum on the private Federal Reserve Bank.

If one asks Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D-MN, 4th CD) to support H.R. 1207, the bill that will require the Federal Reserve Bank to be audited, one receives the following disappointing and shallow response:

“Thank you for contacting me about the Federal Reserve. I appreciate hearing from you. The Federal Reserve system formulates the nation’s monetary policy. The discount and short-term interest rates are important tools the Federal Reserve uses to keep inflation in check, the value of the dollar reasonable, and the overall economy healthy. This system offers some of the Federal government’s most effective tools to fight inflation and keep our economy strong.”

Congresswoman McCollum’s strange mix of tacit admission of tyranny and doublespeak boggles the mind of anyone employing common sense. I contacted Betty McCollum’s office and specifically and politely criticized the monopoly of one private Central Bank, the "Federal Reserve," on the issuance of credit and currency in this country. Her response explains, in a general sense, that indeed this is what is going on.

Imagine dollar bills and credit as baseball cards, and that you are the owner of an original Honus Wagner, of which there are very few in existence and are of significant value. Then imagine, by fiat of the government, someone or something maintained the right by way of government declaration, that they could create as many Honus Wagner’s as they wanted. If you think this sounds fishy, then you are catching on. The reality is much more nuanced than this example, but the fact remains that the Federal Reserve Bank is private, and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, a self-described “quasi-governmental entity” is separate from the bank itself. The Federal Reserve Bank is run by private interests for private profit.

I called Betty McCollum’s office to complain about this tyrannical system, and she responded as if I had no understanding of the subject whatsoever. Unfortunately for the constituents of Congressional District Four in Minnesota, we have a Congresswoman who apparently cannot or will not understand uncontested facts. Even members of her own party have signed on to H.R. 1207, and a few others have even extracted the testimony in Congress that more than demonstrates probable cause for this investigation:

Over $1.3 TRILLION of new money? We don’t know who or what received it? At this point, it is extremely difficult to draw any other conclusion other than that Betty McCollum is willfully ignorant of the circumstances under which her constituents suffer. There are numerous elderly and disabled people who reside within Congressional District Four in Minnesota, which encompasses much of the St. Paul side of the Metro area, and they are negatively affected by the ongoing ability of a few individuals to create money and credit out of thin air. By whatever means, many of these folks receive fixed amounts of money each month on which to live. If something is devaluing the money that they receive – by creating a lot of more it (well over $1.3 Trillion in this case), then these folks suffer. The food they buy, the energy, care and medicines they need all go up in cost as more money and credit is created. By inflating the currency, people on fixed incomes suffer. It’s theft without any tax being passed. The persons receiving the money first benefit the most (such as the friends of the Bankers, who apparently receive trillions in direct payments), and then everyone else pays. The prices at the grocery store lately are a telling manifestation of this artificial phenomenon.

Under the United States Constitution, the 435 member House of Representatives, apportioned by population, has the “power of the purse.” It is the House, which is most closely representative of the people, that will stop a private monopoly on the issuance of credit and currency and the de-industrialization and further destruction of our country vis-à-vis a massive Ponzi scheme and its feeder entities. H.R. 1207 is a strong salvo against this monopoly. This problem is not going away, and the confrontations over open books at the Federal Reserve Bank will continue. Someone who cares about the elderly and the disabled needs to occupy this seat, not Ms. McCollum who is apparently beholden to of the banks, medical monopolies, and other globalists who continue to occupy the institutional bureaucracy and significant portions of our representative government. This congressional seat belongs to the people of the Fourth Congressional District and not to Ms. McCollum.

Please contact Betty McCollum at (202) 225-6631 and ask her to help the disabled and elderly by ending the ongoing purposeful and willful degradation of their lives by currency devaluation. Ask her to join with humanity and co-sponsor H.R. 1207.

Omnibus Higher Education Bill Contains $15 Million Corporate Subsidy to Biotech. Stop S.F. 2093!

In Minnesota, the Government is only interested in taking your DNA and storing it if you are a newborn or if you are a felon. Within a few short decades, the entire population will have a sample of their DNA on record with the Government. The question of what is being done with this DNA collected by force is one that has yet to be sufficiently answered or explained.

The State Government is facing a $6 billion dollar budget shortfall. The Democrats have proposed $2 billion in tax increases, and beleaguered Republicans are battling to reduce the size of the Government. According to the House Minority Leader, Marty Seifert, the Governor has his red veto pen poised.

Just like there are new disguises for Eugenics programs, there is a new name for fascism: "public/private partnerships." In S.F. 2083, it is proposed that the government give $15 million dollars to a "partnership" between the University of Minnesota's and the Mayo Clinic. In a time of a record budget deficit, bankster bailouts, budget busting "stimulus" laws, and Federal Government ownership of strategic manufacturing concerns, we are faced with a $15 million direct subsidy for a private entity, which reads in relevant part as follows:

We have heard from some members of the House of Representatives, quite presciently, about the ripoffs that have occurred in state social welfare programs. However, we need to have a serious heart-to-heart discussion about welfare for the pet projects of other private actors. These include, but are not limited to: various fictitious entities, businesses, or "partnerships." Other similar government-run central economic programs include "JOBZ" Zones, in which the people in the government attempt to decide where various businesses should be located, in their expert opinion.

Democrats in the Legislature, together with some cooperative "Republicans" have pushed hard to shut down opposition to their plans to collect our DNA and hand them over to the Government and private entities without our consent. We are not the cattle of the government and the people who own it. This is not supposed to be a plantation. This money is not for the "genetic testing" for rare genetic diseases; over a million dollars a year is already being spent by the Minnesota Department of Health for this testing, and this contract is located here on this blog. This money in S.F. 2083 is entirely separate, and does not include the tens of millions of dollars that have been given to this "partnership" via grants given by the Minnesota Department of Economic Development and

Republicans need to stand up and be Republicans and stop this nefarious eugenics enterprise. In the time of a $6 billion budget deficit, foreclosed homes, empty commercial properties, and very high unemployment, we cannot afford a $15 million corporate subsidy. Contact Governor Pawlenty and your representatives in the Minnesota State Legislature and tell them to put a stop to the millions of dollars in corporate subsidies in the Omnibus Higher Education Bill.

Minnesota Department of Health , The Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology & Genomics, et al v. All of us.

The Minnesota Department of Health has provided some more, albeit incomplete, responses to my data practices request made pursuant to Minnesota Statutes.

My summary of correspondence with the Department of Health up until mid-December or so is adequately summarized in the video of me speaking at the Citizens Council on Heath Care Press Conference posted previously on this blog.

The fundamental question of my work on this story is who is pushing for, paying for, and benefiting from this DNA collection (there is more than one answer to this, and many other questions) and what is it all about. First I sent this letter, and then this letter, then followed again by this letter, the response to which I received this letter from the Data Practices Act Coordinator at Minnesota Department of Health.

Finally I received a letter from the Commissioner of Health herself, Dr. Sanne Magnan, (after the press conference) in which she asserts that the Minnesota Department of Health "withheld certain documents pursuant to Minnesota Statute section 13.605." In this letter, Dr. Magnan, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Health, further asserts: "The conclusion of the 2008 legislative session has no impact on the statutory classification of the documents as not public." This assertion by the Commissioner of Health belies the plain text of Minnesota Statute Section 13.605, which states in relevant part as follows:

"(b) Classifications. Legislative and budget proposals, including preliminary drafts, that are created, collected, or maintained by the state administration are protected nonpublic data. After the budget is presented to the legislature by the state administration, supporting data, including agency requests, are public data. Supporting data do not include preliminary drafts. The state administration may disclose any of the data within the state administration and to the public at any time if disclosure would aid the administration in considering and preparing its proposals."

The legislative session is over, and the Administration does not need to provide preliminary drafts, but it does need to produce supporting data, including agency requests. In seeming contravention of this alleged privilege, I actually was provided drafts of some legislation from the Department of Health, which makes this privilege assertion even more intriguing and perplexing. What brings this assertion from perplexing to hilarious is MDH notes on page 8 of this document I received, in which "NO" is handwritten, ostensibly by a MDH staffer, next to this typed document dated April 30, 2008:

"Notification of Parental Rights...Subd. 4 (b)..'The form must be made in duplicate, and contain a space for the parent or legal guardian to acknowledge receipt of the form by providing their signature. The parent or legal guardian must sign the form prior to collection of the infant's blood sample. The duplicate copy of the form must be provided to the parent or legal guardian, and the original must be placed in the infant's medical record."

Why is the Minnesota Department of Health being so secretive and working so hard for legislation that so invades our privacy - the roadmap to our very being?

The Minnesota Department of Health has a contract with the Mayo Clinic for newborn bloodspot screening using Tandem Mass Spectrometry. However, there is more to the contract than this, including this seemingly self-contradictory provision on page 3:

"2.11 Any request to use unidentified specimens or data for purposes other than those listed in section 2.8 [editor's note, 2.8 is entitled" "Quality Control and Assurance"] requires the written authorization of Contractor's Institutional Review Board, The State's Authorized Representative amd MDH's Institutional Review Board, and any other individual consents as required by law. Requests must specify, at a minimum, how the contractor will unidentify specimens [emphasis added] or data and how Contractor will comply with the parent's wishes for the destruction of the specimens or data. No identifiable specimens or data may be used for research without the written authorization of the State's Authorized Representative, the Institutional Review Boards of MDH and Contractor and the written consent of the subject's parent or legal guardian."

As a lawyer, I find this language confusing and contradictory. On the face of the text, it appears that dissemination of infant DNA data is an entirely open process. However, we still do not possess any details of what these studies are, or any of all of the alleged authorizations that are required for them to go forward pursuant to MDH's contract with Mayo Clinic. If there is nothing to hide, as Section 2.11 of the contract with Mayo clinic appears to show, then why do I not yet have any information about studies conducted by the Mayo Clinic, and only have this evasive letter from the Commissioner of Health?

I also learned from this letter from the Mayo Clinic about the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics, comprising of the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic. In this tight economy, this organization brags on its website that it just recruited people to work for it. In a State with a $5 Billion plus deficit, it seems odd that this program is yet another one increasing in size. It is also particularly intrusive into our private lives. Even if the Government were to be trusted completely, it would be hard to justify such an intrusion into our very being and an extraction of wealth from us for the privilege of being invaded. As citizens, we need to see all documents related to the release of or use of Minnesota's children's DNA.

Police State 2008: The Rise of the Trouble-based Economy.

I have not updated this blog for awhile for a few reasons. The first is that I generally try to keep it to pretty original stuff, specifically my own data practices act projects. Some delays are pushing me to litigation mode in that respect, and updates on that will be forthcoming sooner rather than later. The second reason is that for a few months I have been so frustrated with the state of things that I am not even sure what I would say, or should say. Therefore, I opted for silence, at least on my blog.

In the course of my work as a lawyer here in Minnesota, I oftentimes have to go to court. I have tried cases and have appeared in a couple hundred criminal cases over the past five years, oftentimes filling in for my friends in different courthouses around the state and the Twin Cities. Prior to becoming an attorney, I worked for nearly five years for the Minnesota Department of Corrections in various bureaucratic capacities. I keep up my contacts with those folks. When I was a child, I was harassed by the police, the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department (Officer Keller, if you are still around, thank you for being such a terrible person and inspiring me to be an attorney) because my father was pretty good at not having a license or insurance for various reasons at various times. The logic goes, at least among the police I suppose, that the sins of the father should be visited upon the son. There was not a time when I had a scooter license or a drivers license that the police did not have a ticket pending against me. Their favorite was "no proof of insurance." My mother who lived on the other side of the Cities carried my insurance and did not send me the cards. As an attorney herself who handled car accident cases where the police did not even ask for insurance in those instances, she was surprised at the necessity of the police giving me a dozen tickets for not having my proof of insurance with me during the course of my high school years. The point of this background is that I have been attacked by the system directly, I have worked for the system, and I have worked in an around the system as a professional. I know something about the "system."

Have you or a friend ever called the police because something had been vandalized, your car had been stolen, your house or business burglarized, or your small business or person stolen from? Have you called them about any number of things and been treated by the police like you are crazy and they are too busy to handle your problem or even hear of it? I have. And so have plenty of my friends. The question then becomes, are the police too busy? If so, what are they busy with? When my mother called about her car being stolen the police did nothing to help her. When she said there was a huge fingerprint on her window (she keeps an immaculate car) and it was not there before the car was stolen, she was laughed at by the police. Investigate a property crime? Hilarious! When my friend Corey Sax had his car stolen several weeks ago, he called 911. The operator would not take his call or even a message. He was told to call the impound lot, which never answered. He then drove to the police precinct at 4 a.m. where there were three police eating donuts. They asked him if he paid his car payment, and sighed heavily when they were finally convinced to at least take some sort of a report. Police work in Minneapolis is apparently for shutting down legitimate businesses, not solving crime.

I could spend hours writing about the injustice and insanity I have seen in the justice system, and I have written about it some here before. However, an afternoon watching cases before this case came on last week was very illustrative of what I see all of the time.

It seemed that the majority of the cases that were on for that day, and most I see every day when I go to court, are about the police not reacting to people's complaints about crime - but rather organized fishing expeditions to create crime where there was none before. There was a guy busted by a police project to bust people for hiring prostitutes - a sting operation. When will the war on prostitution be won? Never.

There was a dorky looking guy there in his early twenties who was there with his Mom who had been chatting with an undercover police officer who he thought was an underage girl, and had apparently, given his prior guilty plea, engaged in some conduct to further this inchoate crime. I don't condone "internet predators," but what if, like the South Park episode, a lot of them were cops? Is this a good use of resources? I would say it is not as long as there are citizen calls about crimes that go laughed at by the police.

There was another unfortunate soul there in court who was an amiable african-american gentleman in his fifties who walked with a cane. His crime? Nagged by undercover police as he was walking along the street to help them find a place to buy cocaine, which he did apparently because he seemed to have a sort of helpful nature - not because he was any sort of drug-kingpin criminal. This gentleman had one prior felony - in 1977. Do I feel any safer because the cops got another felony pinned on this guy? Not one bit. Is our community any safer because they got this guy? Absolutely not. Not in the slightest. This was apparently part of some ongoing operation whose name now escapes me.

About a month ago, my younger brother came up to my house and said that his car had broken down along the road by my house. This was the evening and there was not much traffic. I walked down to the car with him and we pushed it on to a less busy side-road, and on to the side of the road. Then a Ramsey County Deputy in a squad came and talked to us. I did the talking. Then a K-9 unit came, and then two more squads, an undercover truck with cops lights inside it and another undercover sedan with lights came, and then a firetruck (the car was not smoking or anything, it was just apparently time to take the firetruck for a ride, weeeee!). So we had three squads, a K-9 Unit, two undercover vehicles, and a firetruck. I spoke with the deputy, using with what my brother calls "Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi Powers" in talking to the cops, and asked the Deputy to call a tow truck and have the car towed to my house, and I would be delighted to pay for it (only $111.00 to go one block). Realizing that these were most certainly not the droids they were looking for, they slowly dissipated one by one as we waited for a tow truck. No charges were filed, because no one was breaking any laws.

There is a thought, especially among the pernicious Keynesians who are ruling us, that an economy where everyone works in and around the government is a pretty darn good idea. It may look good to them on paper, but in practice it becomes an insatiable fascist beast. Instead of real products and goods for sale, we have police, prosecutors, victims advocates, guardians ad litem, social workers, and an infinite number of other bureaucrats to feed, on all levels of government.

As citizens, we are not to be protected and served, but we are a carcass to be constantly gorged upon. When we are driving home after a few beers with our friends, we are antelopes wading across a crocodile infested river. Have you noticed an increase in contact with law enforcement for nonsensical things among your friends and family? Of course you have. As nearly fifty public defender positions have been eliminated, the enforcement end of the justice system has only grown. They always have plenty of cops and prosecutors to feed on the public. Please note, I do not hate all prosecutors, some of them are my friends, and will share in confidence the thoughts I am sharing with you.

The new economy is not based upon manufacturing, useful services, agriculture, and the like any more, it is a trouble-based economy. It's all about getting money out of trouble: Wars, social services, the police state, prisons and the like. When NAFTRACs is finally implemented (which MN DOT now denies, see this blog, supra), our masters and their helpers will be able to track their livestock (us) much more effectively.

For those of you who don't care about things like this because it is too depressing, you will not escape the clutches of this system, and it will force you to not be happy and to be oppressed unless it is stopped. Please work yourself and with your friends and family to help change this system to save our future and future generations from this tyranny.

I just got off the telephone with Jeff Austin, the man whose flag had been stolen by RNC "Red Hats" during the convention. He indicated to me that the flag had been returned to him last week and that it had been sent to him by Steve Rogers, a delegate from Minnesota Congressional District 5. I do not know from whom Mr. Rogers received the flag. If anyone knows I would be interested to speak to them. Mr. Austin was grateful he had his flag returned, and I am glad he got it back as well. Even so, the flag should never have been taken in the first place.

I have gleaned through many of them and am posting those I found the most worthy of sharing. Revolutionary War Flag Stolen by "Red Hats" and Police After Group Picture of All Ron Paul Delegates at RNC Convention

Yesterday evening, the shameful and freedom killing police state being perpetrated on all citizens in the Twin Cities extended to elected National Delegates who were Ron Paul supporters after a group picture. The flag was an antique replica of a revolutionary war flag signed by Ron Paul that all Ron Paul delegates intended to sign as a memento of the convention. It was not there for any disruptive purpose - only for a memento.

Subsequent to this interview, we had discussion about what to do. Steve Rogers, Delegate from Congressional District 5 in Minnesota approached a national committee person he had been dealing with on other issues and conveyed a time deadline for return of the flag or we would go en masse and complain to the press. The response we received was that they may or may not return the flag, but if we went to the press en masse then they would surely destroy the flag. At that point I got frustrated and left other people to argue about it. I don't know if the flag has been returned or not. I am still willing to sue the police and any "Red Hats" involved in this crime and donate my time if folks will help with costs and the man whose flag was stolen is interested in this course of action. Now Searchable: The MnDOT NASCO NAFTA Superhighway Document Stash

Improving the presentation of one of the strangest Minnesota state government document batches we've ever run across, PIM staff has released a more complete version of the massive MnDOT doc dump about the rather mysterious plan hatched by the North American Super Corridor Coalition (NASCO) to implement a military-style RFID-powered shipping container tracking system on Interstates 35 and 94. We first reported this last July, and provided additional documents obtained by lawyer Nathan Hansen in December.

Now you can get the 598 pages in one PDF file, (a more svelte 43 MB) and we used optical character recognition to make it fully searchable. The rest of the media has still overlooked this strange story about yet another federal boondoggle; in this case, it's been proposed by NASCO's backers at Lockheed Martin, which would collect revenue from building the system, and mine the data it would generate.

To recap: they want to set up monitoring centers dubbed "Total Transportation Domain Awareness Centers of Excellence," which appear to be 'data fusion' centers that would likely turn perpetual profits for contractors supporting the facilities. A system called NAFTRACS, which is based on the military's existing shipping container tracking system, would primarily use RFID tag-based tracking stations to keep an eye on shipping containers, and feed this information into a 'data warehouse' system, which in turn would support some type of supply-chain management system.

[Sidebar: the "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act" bill also promotes other "centers of excellence" data fusion centers that would monitor America, so apparently this sort of Big Brother proposal is all the rage in Washington.]

Interestingly, the NASCO plan specifies that their NAFTRACS system would generate shipping container supply-chain data that Lockheed's business unit in Eagan would market as a business product. It appears that NASCO's plan has now become illegal under state law, because this year's (vetoed and overridden) transportation finance bill specifically banned privatizing the management of Minnesota's highways:

A road authority may not sell, lease, execute a development agreement for a BOT
facility or BTO facility that transfers an existing highway lane, or otherwise relinquish management of a highway...

No one at the Legislature seems to know about this: is anyone going to check out what the heck is going on? Stay tuned...

New Documents Representing Only Propaganda from MN DOT, RIP Alexander Solzhenitsyn

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst; the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

When I was in the fifth grade at Cedar Island Elementary School in Maple Grove, Minnesota, someone who was from what the powers of google has shown to be likely from International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War came to my class to speak for some time about the Military Industrial Complex (I see from IPPNW's website that I could not disagree more with their view of small arms, and my mention of this organization is not an endorsement of their views). I recall him reviewing in great detail the nuclear capabilities of the United States and the Soviet Union. This was in the sunset of the days of "air raid drills" where we would hide under our desks to protect us from tornadoes and ostensibly nuclear bombs. The most important part of his little lecture was a warning he repeated again and again and wrote on the chalkboard: "BE SKEPTICAL, QUESTIONING AND DOUBTFUL about anything told to you by the government and/or the military industrial complex."

As time went on and I read more and gained more knowledge over the years, this lesson came back to me. It was always there, but just lying dormant. The very things this man was talking about were very real indeed. I now tell people to be skeptical, questioning and doubtful about anything the people in the government/military industrial complex/media tells them.

While I was taking this class over twenty years ago, Iran Contra was being exposed and Soviet dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn was in exile from his native Russia in New Hampshire. He was a tank officer for the Soviet Army in World War II. He was taken captive by the German Army during a battle. After the war, the reward for nearly every Soviet soldier who was taken captive by the Germans was a "fiver" at the minimum. A "fiver" was a five year sentence in the Gulag, a system of work camps set up by Joseph Stalin and his cohorts.

A thorough description of the Gulag system is far beyond the scope of this article, but I commend the reader to the English translation/abridged version of The Gulag Archipelago and the English version of the novella One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, both by Mr. Solzhenitsyn. After being released from (and surviving, for that matter) the Gulag system, he worked as a math teacher in exile in Kazakhstan and subsequently traveled around while writing and avoiding authorities, who were perpetually displeased with his writing. While on the run, he was writing The Gulag Archipelago, a book not entirely based on his experience, but directly on the experience of hundreds of people who were only a sampling of the millions who suffered under the Gulag system and the tyranny of Joseph Stalin. We should recall that the United States allied itself with Stalin in World War II. Stories relating to this are recounted in Mr. Solzhenitsyn's writings, and his complaints about Allied treatment of Soviet soldiers doomed to return to death camps are outlined in his writings.

The bottom line here is that things are not always what they seem, and that government tyranny is for real. Government was the number one cause of non-natural death in the twentieth century.

The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie. One word of truth outweighs the world.

In our country, the lie has become not just a moral category but a pillar of the State.

In this writer's opinion from my experience working in government for five years, and as an attorney in the trenches for the past five years, we are experiencing a merger of the the former Soviet system with our system. I have witnessed this personally in the erosion of the application and substance of our laws (including the application of the rules of evidence and other procedural rules routinely ignored or perhaps, forgotten), and this is further demonstrated by the "Department of Homeland Security" hiring former East-Germany Stasi Chief Markus Wolfe and former KGB General Yevgeni Primakov.

Tyranny is old and commonplace, freedom is the exception. The new tyranny metastasizing before those of us with our eyes and minds open is rather sophisticated, and requires constant vigilance and study to begin to comprehend it. One part of this tyranny is the odd merging of the state governments, federal government, a "non-profit" (NASCO) and the military industrial complex. I commend the reader to other portions of this blog for a more thorough explanation of this seemingly obscure but prescient issue. Contrary to NASCO's claim that "THREE OF THE EIGHT PIONEER ICM SITES chosen by US DOT for the below ICM program over 2006-to-2011 reside upon the NASCO Corridor backbone Interstate Highway 35 at SanAntonio and Dallas, Texas, and in Minneapolis, MN, respectively," MN DOT claims to have no knowledge or documents whatever relating to this proposed site in Minnesota.

The documents I received in response to my data practices act request consist entirely of e-mails relating to potential attendance of MN DOT bureaucrats at a convention in Winnipeg, Manitoba and propaganda from NASCO. On its website in connection with announcing the new NAFTRACs (Orwellian Control Grid, read supra) locations, NASCO further states that NAFTRACs is: "addressing congestion, empowering travelers, and improving travel time reliability." Of course, this is nonsense. If you read elsewhere in this blog, you will see that NASCO, Lockheed Martin, Savi Networks, US DOT, and various other state Departments of transportation are involved in the implementation of an important portion of a control grid that would be the envy of, and most certainly of interest to Joseph Stalin and anyone with similar plans. Such a tool as NAFTRACs would be indispensable to anyone or anything interested in imposing a more perfect tyranny. Here is something to consider, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Mary E. Peters, has a bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix - Online (link is to US DOT bio).

After I received the documents I have posted here as links, I was concerned that absolutely nothing in them mentions the NAFTRACs sites in Minnesota that NASCO boasts of on its website. I contacted the Staff Attorney for MN DOT, Peter Zuniga, via telephone and asked him about this seeming contradiction in information between MN DOT and NASCO. During the conversation, he agreed to further look into the issue, and I agreed that for his role, I would be satisfied with an assurance in writing that MN DOT had no further information relating to the issue. Such a response was provided, and confirmed that either 1) MN DOT is not telling the truth or 2) NASCO is not telling the truth or 3) there is a combination of lies between them. The official story appears to be that NASCO is entirely lying about plans for NAFTRACs in Minnesota and that the Minnesota Department of Transportation has no idea that such plans exist (it is remarkable that a simple review of NASCO's website boasts of these plans, but they entirely evade the review of the MN DOT Bureaucrats!). This leaves one to wonder about why Minnesota would pay $50,000 a year for membership in such a mendacious organization.

Quite some time ago, I was told by a reliable source at MN DOT who shall remain anonymous, that efforts to avoid the substance of my data practices act requests were afoot. The responses I have received appear to be the culmination of such plans. There are complaints in the first documents posted on this blog and still extant here (but the exact location here on this blog evades the writer right now), in which Tiffany Melvin, Executive Director of NASCO, expresses concerns about people obtaining information about NASCO and Lockheed Martin's plans relating to NAFTRACs via state data practices/open government laws. Should any governments' dealing with private companies for such an ongoing tax and comprehensive tracking scheme be secret? Absolutely not. I have not yet decided if I am going to sue MN DOT for more information. It's difficult to prove a negative. If I were to speculate, I would imagine that they are just telling the polite Peter Zuniga to just tell me whatever and get rid of me. I am not satisfied with the documents I have received. It's highly unlikely that MN DOT has no documentation relating to the installation of NAFTRACs in Minnesota. If they don't have any idea, why do they talk do much about NAFTRACs in general, but never offer any details? If a site has been selected, as NASCO boasts, where is it? MN DOT has maintained it has no idea whatsoever. It appears to me that the Government is lying to myself and all of us.

Unfortunately, most people are still getting their news from the mainstream media on the television. This is not a good place to get news people. This is nothing but software updates for our brains from the Military Industrial Complex. Have you ever considered that General Electric owns NBC and Raytheon? Give that some thought and wonder why in the world that may be.

Awhile ago, I received an e-mail from the Deputy Chair of the Republican Party telling everyone to start blogs. I would submit to her that one has to have some original thoughts and information to produce anything that anyone might read. I lost interest in regurgitations of mainstream news lies and obfuscations several years ago.

We have a more modern battle for liberty on our hands than has perhaps been manifested in the past. Please support liberty and liberty issues. I encourage you to read the "NASCO Speaks Out," in which Tiffany Melvin writes that there has been "confusion" about what NASCO is up to because of "complex issues that are not easy to explain, and various events taking place, in isolation, that have been strung together in a manipulative way."

There is no manipulation here, the only people who are manipulating people are NASCO, various components of government, Savi Networks, Lockheed Martin and and other enemies of freedom. Who is writing propaganda letters for the people in government to sign on their behalf? Not me. NASCO.

I am pleased to report about the turnout at the Minnesotans for Limited Government picnic that was held at Island Lake Park in Shoreview yesterday evening (Wednesday, June 26, 2008). On a warm Wednesday evening, with significant humidity and traffic along 694, I would estimate that at least 100 people showed up at this event. The list of speakers was impressive, and included two candidates for the United States Congress, Barb Davis-White and Ed Matthews. Other folks of note and candidates spoke at this event. The food, the people, and the weather were all favorable. I spoke with some folks about this event today - and they wish they would have known about it. I encourage anyone to check out their website and keep an eye out for upcoming events. It's encouraging to see that there are so many other folks who love liberty. As one speaker noted, there were people of every age range there. No matter who you are, it is tough to not love liberty.

Among the fascinating things about this e-mail is my general sense of how absolutely out of touch these people are.

First of all, I received notice of Senator Coleman's event three days ago, so I am surmising that this event was created to be in competition with the MNLG event, which was planned over two weeks ago. Of course they are free to have any event they want - I am not complaining about that. Rather, I think MNLG should be flattered by this competing event - as it is organized by a sitting United States Senator.

The MNLG picnic was held in a beautiful park on a beautiful day. People of all ages, including peoples' children, showed up and enjoyed themselves. There was a playground for the kids. The agenda was leisurely, the speakers interesting, and the topics important. People were concerned about big government, big taxes, big spending, and big brother. Senator Coleman's people offered to have you dress like an idiot and make phone calls to people telling them to vote for Norm Coleman. If people like the ideas, they will come. There is no need to harass them on the telephone in the evening in the middle of the summer and tell them they should vote for carbon taxes, more spending, and more government interference in our lives. Asking us to peddle such nonsense is akin to asking us to sell peacock poop pancakes next to the cheese curd booth at the State Fair. A hopeless and pernicious endeavor indeed.

Governor Pawlenty, despite some of his postive attributes, such as his defense of firearms ownership, also has some serious issues. Before going in to what I was going to write about, I cannot help but complain about the word for "taxes" being changed to the word "fees" in some respects under Governor Pawlenty (Want to get divorced in Hennepin County?, $664 in filing fees just for the Petition and Answer to the government!) I still have noticed that everyone still spends way too much on government. Among the most terrible government programs being perpetrated upon us as of that is that of the Real ID act. I am not going to write in great detail about what the REAL ID Act, but in essence it is a Federalized ID that contains biometric (e.g., fingerprint, iris scan) information and countless other big brother attributes. I read that the Governor of Montana told the Feds to "go to hell" over this issue.

Governor Pawlenty, however, supports the REAL ID act, and has indicated to the Legislature his support for it. In a letter to the Speaker of the Minnesota House (and citing this letter is not any indication of this writer's support for her), Governor Pawlenty writes: "Implementing READ ID will...help reduce illegal immigration."

Instead of looking to implement another aspect of an Orwellian control scheme, such as those discussed in other parts of this blog, the Governor should take a look right in his backyard - the situations right under his nose. For example, NAFTRACS, a Lockheed Martin military industrial complex control grid run under the auspices of NASCO is a continuing menace. Another ongoing problem relates to the $664 fee to the government for filing a Petition and Answer to a divorce case in Minnesota.

When police actually have to break down and charge someone who is in this country illegally with a crime, which they seem to avoid at almost all costs, they have to appear in court to answer for the charges. If they do not speak English, the court must hire a translator to translate for them. The court must pay for whatever this translator may charge. If I were to guess, they probably charge at least $50.00 an hour, if not more. In addition, because the court is paying for the translator, the people here who are charged with a crime and do not speak English always go first, before everyone else.

One time I was standing in for a friend of mine representing an African-American woman who was a single mother. She had a single charge for driving after revocation as a result of non-payment of a fine. When she had received the ticket she was only sitting in the car with the keys in the ignition - on the passenger side. She was listening to the radio while her friend went into the bank, that's why the keys were in the ignition. Before we could go up before the court, wherein she had to pay a pretty significant fine, a Mexican national was brought up before the court. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated - 4th Degree, a misdemeanor. He plead to a Careless Driving and received a $50.00 fine, with no jail time. His conduct? In the same City from which my client received her ticket, he was caught urinating on the side of the road while drunk. Inside of his car, which he had been driving, were several adults and several young children. The young children were on the floor and not in car seats or seat belts. If this was an American citizen, they would have been charged with enough crimes to send them to prison, had their children taken away, and possibly have their parental rights terminated.

Pointing out hypocrisy in our government is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indianapolis 500. When I was in court at the Hennepin County District Court the other day, I tore off from pre-bound, printed pads located on each side of the room, a form explaining people's rights in Spanish. There were hundreds of copies of these. I took several years of Spanish, and have even worked at a Restaurant with wonderful Mexican nationals in high school, but uncontrolled immigration is not in the best interests of the United States or Mexico. Mexico is losing its young people, and we are being overrun. Both countries are losing their sovereignty. The battle is against those who are running this racket - not each other. The document in the court was entitled: "DERECHOS DEL ACCUSADO EN CASOS DE DELITOS MENORES GRAVES, Y FALTAS EN EL DISTRITO JUDICIAL DEL CONTANDO DE HENNEPIN."

The fact is that we do not need a military industrial complex big government control grid to deal with the issue of illegal immigration. The so-called justice system needs to look right in front of its face and deal effectively with information it already has. The problem is not a paucity of laws, information, or resources. Rather the problem is a failure of Government to enforce existing laws with existing resources, and the existence of too many laws with too much government.

Governor Pawlenty's wife, the Honorable Mary Pawlenty, was a Judge in Dakota County. Governor Pawlenty is a lawyer by trade. These folks absolutely must know about situations I have written about in this article. Given this knowledge, I wish they would stand up against the evil forces who wish to continue to enslave us with an Orwellian control grid.

REAL ID is a problem in search of a solution and must be fought in every state and on the Federal level. Tell your legislators in no uncertain terms that you oppose the control grid in all of its iterations.

Norm Coleman has teamed up with his pals Chuck Schumer, Amy Klobuchar, and Ron Wyden to impose upon us an insane Malthusian carbon trading scheme. This scheme is just one of the types of schemes Al Gore is pushing to make himself and his masters more fabulously wealthy. I am glad to see Norm Coleman is such a conservative. This type of bill is no minor thing. This is about total control and domination of the population, of us, their livestock.

If you think I am kidding, check out this article from the BBC in the United Kingdon, MPs (Members of Parliament) Back Personal Carbon Credits. For life, you need oxygen, carbon, water, and sunlight at a minimum. This is simply a tax on life for total command and control of the population. What do you think they are doing with all of these cameras and tracking devices and carbon schemes? This is big government at its most pernicious.

The future where we are tracked, tagged, ticketed, poked, prodded, searched and otherwise molested by these government thugs is now dawning upon us. This needs to be turned around. Now that Norm Coleman has co-sponsored this atrocity to humanity, I will never support him. Never. Can you imagine government bureaucrats regulating your "carbon usage"?

If you want to crack through their matrix, you must not stand idly by. We must resist with all of our ability. I was told by a Coleman toadie at the MN GOP Convention this weekend that Norm Coleman needed to compromise on schemes like this to "get things done." I would rather not have government "done" to me.

"There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!"

Ron Carey never responded to my letter. I was told that he told the Chair of the Ron Paul Campaign in Minnesota, Marianne Stebbins, that Ron Paul could speak if he dropped out of the Presidential race and endorsed Barack Obama, I mean John McCain.

The Minnesota State Convention was a model of Stalinesque thuggery. It is hilarious and sad to me that these Neocons - who justify the unconstitutional invasion of Iraq for among other specious reasons elections in which Saddam Hussein was the only candidate, ran the convention in a manner which would make Saddam himself blush. For the national delegate positions up for election at the convention, Ron Carey & Co. allowed four out of eighteen prospective nominees to be people who were not on their slate. That means fourteen of the eighteen prospective national delegates were people picked by Ron Carey and his cohorts. It's as if that in their meddling in Iraq, these Neocons picked up some of Saddam's Hussein's ideas about how to run "elections."

I encourage those who wonder about Neocons and the cause against them in favor of limited government view this speech by Ron Paul on the House Floor called "Neoconned"!

For the alternate delegate positions, Ron Carey & Co. did not allow anyone who was not on their slate and/or a Neocon to be on the ballot. It was complained about by the person announcing the results that people wrote profanities and/or drew in their ballots. What is more profane than any written profanity is the willful and America-destroying disrespect of Republican values of these people who think they are pretty darn smart because they figured out how to run a tyranny on people. Like Ron Paul said in his speech outside the convention in Rochester this past weekend: tyranny is a very old idea and liberty is the the new and rare one.

The limited government movement is just getting warmed up. Marianne Stebbins, who I consider to be a rather heroic and clever individual, and who is also our Ron Paul Chair in Minnesota, received 42.2% of the vote for National Delegate. This is nothing to sneeze at, as she was obviously a Ron Pauler. We came within a few percentage points of total victory.

The tyranny run by Ron Carey & Co. works against them. The more it is run, the more curious people become about what is going on with this party. The more they are oppressed, the harder they lean against the oppression. Ron Carey & Co.'s profanity to American values really offended myself and other people at our Convention, and like Barb Davis White (R-Candidate for U.S. House, MN CD-5) said when she introduced Ron Paul, the Republican Party of Minnesota owes an apology for making this man speak outside (I am paraphrasing, but that is what she basically said). These socialist Trotzkyites need to be removed from our party. Their support for socialism and socialist policies of Norm Coleman and Al Gore has demonstrated beyond any doubt that they are Republicans in Name Only.

During the convention, I had hostile and rude people tell me that Saddam Hussein killed 650,000 people per day when he was President of Iraq and that a nearly a billion dollars a day is being spent there "for freedom." Heaven forfend I dispute these pearls of wisdom.

The "Republican" and candidate for Minnesota Senate, Norm Coleman, is in favor of global "cap and trade" carbon trading schemes that make the income tax and every other profane form of big government look reasonable and sound. I cannot fathom why a "contest" against the big government toadie Al Franken is even seriously characterized as a reasonable dispute about any ideas by any thinking and rational individual.

We need to get the call out to everyone. Get your friends and neighbors away from the television and tell them about what is going on. I have written about Big Brother on this blog in many respects. We need to mobilize candidates against Big Brother. I encourage folks to help Bill Jungbauer for Minnesota House of Representatives.

Further, relating to other, more local races, I think my blog entry about the hundreds of surveillance cameras with sound capability (they are connected to the Internet, and can be expanded, and appear to have cameras with this capability) in Minneapolis are a serious issue for the Minneapolis City Council races. These documents are posted in links on the right-hand side of this blog. People who support Big Brother in this way should be challenged for their seat and lose it to a limited government Republican. There aren't really too many Democrats or any Neocons nowadays who don't love a new expansion of Big Brother government. Sadly, many Republicans have joined them in their massive control grid operations. I encourage "Ron Paul" limited government Republicans to run against "police state" Democrats for seats on the Minneapolis City Council. Such a win would be a significant achievement for the limited government movement.

Please also remember NASCO - its control grid continues as I write and as you are reading this. Contact your legislators about stopping them! There are many facets to their rackets!

Ron Carey will not let Ron Paul speak at the MN GOP Convention and will only provide state delegate and alternate list to neocon Democrat John McCain.

There has been some talk about Ron Paul being present at the upcoming Minnesota State Republican Convention in Rochester, Minnesota. I do not represent Ron Paul's campaign in any official capacity, and therefore I do not speak for him. However, I am a delegate to the upcoming state convention, and I would like to see him speak. An updated convention call with convention notes I received from the Republican Party of Minnesota revealed that Karl Rove was going to speak to our convention. Karl Rove, but not Ron Paul. Pearls of wisdom from me about Karl Rove are outside the scope of this post, but I would commend the reader to the Internet for their own research on the individual George W. Bush calls "Terdblossom."

Yesterday, I wrote a letter to Ron Carey, Chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota, outlining my concerns as a delegate about Ron Paul potentially speaking at the Minnesota State Convention and the release of the state delegate and alternate list. Here is the text of my letter to Ron Carey:

Dear Mr. Carey:

I write to you in my capacity as a Republican who has been elected a delegate to the Congressional District Four Convention and the Minnesota State Convention and as an alternate to the National Convention this coming September.

It is my understanding that the state delegate and alternate list has been released to some folks who are running for the Presidential nomination. It is further my understanding that you have been unwilling to provide this list to the Ron Paul Campaign in Minnesota. I respectfully request that a copy of this list be provided to Ron Paul supporters and any other persons seeking to campaign for Republican nominations.

As you are probably well aware, Ron Paul may be in attendance for some portion of our state convention. It is my understanding and my fear given past performance of party “regulars” that there may be an unwillingness to let Dr. Paul speak at our state convention.

Dr. Paul’s conservative record is impeccable. He has never voted to raise taxes, has never voted for a Federal restriction on firearms ownership, and has always returned a portion of his Congressional Office’s budget to the U.S. Treasury each year. His personal credentials as a public servant and as an individual are impeccable. His new book, “The Revolution: A Manifesto,” is currently the number one non-fiction book on the New York Times Best Seller List.

On the other hand, the media-appointed “presumptive” nominee, John McCain, has been involved in scandals for most of his professional life. His involvement in the “Keating Five” scandal is particularly disturbing. What’s even more disturbing is that this man has co-sponsored EIGHTY-SIX Bills with Senators Clinton and Obama since 2005 . To call this man a “Republican in Name Only” is an understatement.

Regardless of John McCain’s close cooperation with his Democrat friends, true small government conservatives deserve their voices to be heard. I cannot understand why any true conservative would not want to hear what Dr. Paul has to say.

In light of the foregoing, I respectfully request that the state delegate and alternate list be provided to the Ron Paul Campaign, or even to myself and I will provide it to them.

Further, and more importantly, I would be embarrassed as a Republican in Minnesota if we as a party lack the class to let this visiting dignitary speak at our convention. I am confident that someone with as much class and leadership ability as you will take affirmative steps to see that Dr. Ron Paul is given the welcome to Minnesota that he deserves.

I have not yet heard anything back from Mr. Carey. It is my understanding that he has also not responded to other folks who have made requests similar to the ones I made in my letter.

The Republican Party in Minnesota has grown weak by being insular and controlled by Trotzkyite Neocons. Its status right now reminds me of the Old King in the Lord of the Rings who falls under the influence of the evil sorcerer via the toad-like man who always whispers in his ear about what to do. That man reminds me of Karl Rove. Eventually, Gandolf comes and casts a spell freeing the King of the nefarious influence. Hopefully Ron Paul supporters together with like-minded freedom loving conservatives can break the Neocon Spell.

So how about it Ron Carey? How about opening up the party and the process so we can get some more Republicans in office? What in the world are you afraid of? Freedom? Liberty? People thinking their own thoughts? I respectfully ask you to please consider what we are saying. I think you may find that "Ron Paul people" are smart, educated, and sincere people.

It does not appear that MN DOT is a member of NASCO anymore, but Lockheed Martin still is, and NAFTRACS is being implemented in Minneapolis.

Despite the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MN DOT) no longer being listed as a member of NASCO on NASCO's Member List, NASCO's website proudly reports, in press release appropriately tagged "NAFTRACS, Tracking & Tracing":

NASCO NOTE: THREE OF THE EIGHT PIONEER ICM SITES chosen by US DOT for the below ICM program over 2006-to-2011 reside upon the NASCO Corridor backbone Interstate Highway 35 at San Antonio, and Dallas, Texas, and in Minneapolis, MN, respectively. A core focus of NASCO’s NAFTRACs cargo movement tracking, management and security initiative under the auspices of the U.S. DOT is the use of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) information gathering assets in place already and assisting in urban congestion. The objective is to evaluate NAFTRACS as a model tool to integrate now disparate ITS congestion mitigation tools within each state and across the states on the NASCO Corridor so as to provide public and private users of NAFTRACS a near real-time, web-based common operating picture of actual traffic and freight movement conditions across the U.S. heartland."

This means that NASCO has not abandoned its plans with Lockheed Martin, written about and documented with their own documents elsewhere in this blog, to run their profitable tracking system, NAFTRACS. One can note, as mentioned in the title of this entry, that Lockheed Martin remains a member of NASCO. As a matter of fact, everything is going along as planned.

It appears that NASCO has hung its hat (along with Lockheed Martin) on the reliable corruption of the federal government, specifically US DOT, to implement its plan. Better for them anyway, that way there can be no doubt that the taxpayers can spend every single dime for their own electronic prison. Heaven forfend Lockheed Martin spend any of its own money on its Orwellian control grid. I have also posted a grant in this blog from US DOT for the NAFTRACs project. This is properly described as the "socialization of risk," in which the taxpayers take all of the risk and "private" industry reaps all of the rewards. This is not capitalism or free markets. This is a "kleptocracy" and one more aspect of controlling every aspect of people's lives. From the Real ID Act, to DNA collection on children and cameras everywhere in every form, the military industrial complex has us in its grip.

Just yesterday evening, I was driving northbound on I-494 in Plymouth and traffic was reduced by a lane. I checked carefully at the truck that had traffic slowed down, and it was a company that said on its truck that it installed camera surveillance equipment - welcoming me to the police state.

As folks are rightfully furious about the things going on with the collection of childens' DNA in Minnesota, an issue covered extensively and heroically by the Citizens Council on Health Care, we need to be wary of the present and impending police state in all of its incarnations.

We are under attack on many fronts. I wish more people would pay attention. Civil liberties and freedom need to be the top issues for the foreseeable future. Those compromising on these issues, whatever their party affiliation, need to be campaigned against and voted out of office forthwith.

I have not updated this blog for some time. There have been many things I would like to write about, but I have suffered a "writer's block" of sorts. In early January of this year, I dismissed my lawsuit against the Minnesota Department of Transportation in exchange for payment of my costs. MN DOT had not answered my lawsuit, which I had served upon MN DOT in person and by serving the Attorney General, which should be good service of process. Shortly after the service of the lawsuit, I received some documents I had requested. As I wrote in my earlier post, I have some suspicion about whether I actually received all of the documents. Even so, it is difficult, if not impossible, to prove this.

Since my last post, I have also received documents I requested from the City of Minneapolis about the red light traffic cameras that were found to be violative of Minnesota Law and the run of the mill "Big Brother" cameras that are being installed everywhere. The information I obtained contains a contract with a company out of South Dakota for the installation of these cameras. There are a lot of questions I have about this system.

I have serious doubts about whether there is any real interest in fighting crime with them. A friend of mine who is also an attorney works downtown on the main floor of a building. A criminal came into their office and picked up a laptop computer and ran with it. His fleeing was caught on camera. Her boss went down to the precinct where the police had an array of cameras and had caught the criminals flight on camera. The police had very little interest in investigating this crime other than the taking of a report. This leads me to believe that these cameras have very little to do with fighting crime and a lot to do with command and control of the population - us, their sheep, their cattle, their livestock.

It's my suspicion that theft from fellow citizens is just not important to them. These cameras are for the selective enforcement of the laws I have come to expect - turn your back on major crimes and only randomly or perniciously enforce other more petty crimes, or even worse, prosecute conduct that isn't really a crime and overcharge and vigorously pursue it - even multiplying charges to confuse juries and stampede the justice system.

What is going on is much larger than cameras or tracking devices written about in this blog. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue - it's my belief that in large part an artificial construct designed by our controllers to control the debate. The real issue is best summed up as continuing and increasing command and control of the population versus individual liberty.

I am a Republican and have been so for most of my conscious life. The Republican party as it exists today has been infiltrated by Trotzkyite Socialists who will say anything to get elected and then do something else completely.

I am an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September and will be attending.

My party needs to be taken back by people who love liberty. This line of thinking is a whole other matter and I don't want to run too far afield with it, but I wanted put it out there. I believe it is of note because I am a Republican, and I am criticizing the "Big Brother" activities of an avowedly "Liberal Democrat" Mayor - R.T. Rybak. Since when are the Democrats so big on a police state? The Democrats are suffering from a similar malady as many Republicans: these politicians say one thing and do something entirely different. Each side thinks their elected representatives believe in something they voted for, only for the representatives to go off and continue their support for the police state and other undesirable schemes.

With regard to NASCO, please go to their site and get updated. People with the time and inclination should keep up with what they are doing and attend their conferences. I have video provided to me by someone who attended one of their conferences. It is my intention to put up portions of it on youtube or google video. There is one speaker they hired who goes into great detail about how the sovereignty of Mexico, Canada and the United States needs to be eliminated. I am so ashamed and disgusted that my state pays for membership in an organization that hires speakers like this.

Today I picked up a little over six hundred pages from MN DOT Central Office in St. Paul. The prior request I made generated over 3,000 pages of documents. The fewer number of documents obtained this time arises my suspicion. Further, there was at least one document not in there that should have been in there, and that is the fully executed non-binding letter of intent between NASCO and SAVI Networks, which was obtained by the ok-safe people in Oklahoma. Although NASCO is always talking about shipping containers in most of its documents, it is the non-binding letter of intent that says that the plan is to involve "all modes of transportation."

I am going to digest much of what I have obtained and read so far and write more about it. This nefarious plan continues and it must be stopped. Now that I know how to upload documents and link to them I can produce some nice material with pertinent hotlinks. I was a little naive before to think people would navigate through all of the documents like myself and a select few other people do.

As I have said time and time again, Lockheed Martin, a flagship member of the Military Industrial Complex in the United States and a major defense contractor, is the major force behind this NAFTRACS plan. A good example of this is this email in which one Bob Johns tells Brad Larsen of MN DOT: "Our local Lockheed office seems to be a big player--influencing earmarks."

Well, no kidding. There is a weird "sole source" grant that was given to NASCO from US DOT for NAFTRACS. Lockheed Martin adds insult to injury by having we the people pay for our own transportation enslavement to them. Whatever politicians are whoring themselves to Lockheed Martin for this plan, those being influenced by the "local Lockheed office" should take heed: Times are changing and this sort of blatant corruption and pandering will not stand. There should be nothing more important than the interests of your constituents and their families, not your lobbyist pals from Lockheed.

There is much more I will write later. Much to my amusement, I made one of the MN DOT e-mails, in which one Mike Robinson writes to one John Bray: "This person retrieved e-mails through a data practices request. He has his own agenda and spins accordingly."

Indeed my bureaucrat friend, I do have an agenda but it is not the nefarious one you have been dragged into; it is the agenda of public interest and openness and honesty in government, not Lockheed Martin's "confidential" plans for an Orwellian control grid.

There was a time when it was understood that "public/private partnerships" were in fact the definition of fascism, which is combination of government with business, such as the Third Reich's Todt Organization.

Lawsuit to obtain documents related to MN DOT's membership in NASCO filed and served today.

I have been somewhat neglectful of writing more analysis of documents relating to NASCO and its partnership with the military industrial complex on this blog. In retrospect, I should have spent more time looking at the documents that the people from OK-SAFE sent to me. These documents are uploaded to my law office server now though and are available at www.hansenlawoffice.com/nasco.

Even so, I have not forgotten about this issue. On August 2, 2007, I sent a request for updated documents related to MN DOT's membership in NASCO. After numerous telephone calls and letters to MN DOT's data practices office, I received a voice mail on October 25, 2007 that indicated that I would receive my documents "on Friday." I have not received any documents and I have not heard anything else.

The lack of responsiveness on the part of MN DOT has forced me to bring a lawsuit to compel compliance with the data practices act. I also seek mandamus relief, which is an alternative and "older" type of relief, but basically the same. My efforts are set forth in detail in the Complaint I filed today.

I don't seek large monetary damages out of the suit, other than the amount I paid for the filing fee and whatever nominal statutory damages may be allowed. My motivation is not monetary gain, but rather to obtain these documents. The NAFTRACS plan to track all transportation moves along unabated without any citizen input or control. The military industrial complex's plan to track and control the population must be exposed and stopped. I encourage everyone to examine this issue and contact their representatives about this issue.

NASCO Unveils Tortilla Initiative, Denounces "Conspiracy Theorists" and Promises Direct Influence on the Media

[Headnote: these documents exist and I am reading from them; I am working on getting them posted]

In furtherance of its ongoing concern for the health, safety, and welfare of the American People, NASCO has made a direct reference to something related to its activities which it calls "the initiative with the corn tortilla." Details relating to what this initiative entails were absent in the Minutes of a Board of Directors of NASCO meeting dated May 30, 2007.

Details are sketchy, but everyone remains hopeful about the "corn tortilla initiative." After mentioning this and other things as an update from Jim Bergfalk of the "Knowledge Corridor," the minutes go on to mention that Big 12 Universities are endeavoring on NASCO's behalf, and emphasizes:

"It is important for all of the Universities and entities working on research and development projects in these common areas to be coordinated and all have agreed to work with NASCO and to work for NASCO to play that role. Things are in their infancy and we are working on some baby steps to get this moving." Emphasis added.

After offering nothing else about the "tortilla initiative" and its other plans (not including specifically their maniacal Orwellian plan to track and tax everyone, which is discussed in other parts of this blog), NASCO goes on to discuss "NASCO in the media" and it complains about "conspiracy theorists." This label is not and never was an appropriate label for people who criticize NASCO. In light of the activities NASCO is participating in, specifically the imposition of a a totalitarian police/welfare/warfare state, I think that people who criticize NASCO are not only well-founded, but doing a public service. If NASCO believes things that I am saying are untrue and unsupported in fact, I have heard no such specific criticism. Consistent with what I have seen and what I am saying, NASCO writes in its May 30, 2007 minutes:

"[S]till have 'conspiracy theorists' out there. They will never go away. Over the summer, NASCO will work to set up some Editorial Board meetings with major newspapers along the corridor to get the word out about what NASCO is and isn't. We have had some very good press as of late, combating the conspiracies, and NASCO staff will make sure that we put links to those articles on our website."

You are right about one thing Tiffany Melvin, we will never go away.

So that we can end all of these "conspiracies," will NASCO submit and cooperate with a comprehensive documentary about it and examination of all of NASCO's records, including all of its funding sources and banking information?

NASCO writes propaganda letters for Department of Tranportation Commissioners' Signature

I have received a batch of new document from the good folks at OK SAFE. There is so much here that I can't do it all justice in one posting. Therefore I am going to break it down and start with the first thing I read.

What I read is an email from Tiffany Melvin, Director of NASCO, to Dawn Sullivan at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. In this e-mail, Ms. Melvin sends a boilerplate letter of support praising her and NASCO for the signature of the Departments of Transportation of Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, and Iowa.

It appears this letter is intended to obtain bureaucratic bolstering of NASCO's diabolical mission. In a letter which has fill-in-the-blanks for various states' transportation officials, I excerpt as follows:

"as the XXXXXXX of the XX Department of Transportation and a member of...NASCO...I understand that NASCO is about to implement a federally funded pilot program entitled NAFTRACS...Thank you for the leadership and efforts of NASCO on this important project. We look forward to participating and to hearing from you soon."

There are many comments and thoughts I have about this passage, many of which are just not appropriate for family consumption. We have already established NASCO's direct connection with the military industrial complex and Red China. Surely, none of us as citizens have the influence bestowed upon us by the benevolent military industrial complex to draft letters in support of us for signature by the Commissioners/Directors of Transportation of four different states.

What is going on here? Pure, unadulterated and arrogant corruption. While a bridge that I drove on regularly collapsed, my trusted government officials were negotiating with NASCO, Lockheed Martin, and Red China to track my every movement in my vehicle. They arrogantly continue on this unwise course. It is going to produce results with which no one except the criminals who profit from it will be happy.

I have contacted my state legislator, Bev Scalze, about this issue and she has not responded to me. We absolutely, without any shred of a doubt, need a law in Minnesota absolutely forbidding our state to have any association with NASCO. The existence of these plans is not mere conjecture or fanciful imagination, it is laid bare in the documents myself and other folks have obtained and which are available for your review right here.

If you want to know what is coming for us, please read Sal Costello's Blog. Texas is THE front line of toll road battle, and Mr. Costello is one of the top leaders of the resistance there. Through no fault of Mr. Costello, this front is starting to resemble the Maginot Line under Hitler's Blitzkrieg because not enough well-minded citizens know about this issue. This must end now.

If you like driving, you better listen up NOW! This is absolutely real.

Contact your legislator, contact me, tell your friends and your family, bullhorn your capital building, ask your trusted government officials about this. This is not a forgone conclusion. We are the people, and we ultimately run this show, even though we have been told for several generations that this is somehow no longer the case.

I am actively looking for similarly concerned people to join me in this issue. It is the frontline of the battle for our civil liberties and our humanity. Anyone is welcome, but people with time to discuss and implement projects and articles are also most certainly welcome.

The files are now improved and NASCO and Lockeed Martin continue their nefarious agenda undeterred and unabated.

The files hosted on my website are now "right-side up" and are also now searchable. Further, the good people at www.ok-safe.com have completed a large open records law request from their Department of Transportation and are going to be shipping those documents to me. Once I receive them, I will get them scanned in and searchable as soon as possible. I have not seen them yet, but from what I have heard from the OK-SAFE people the Orwellian NASCO NAFTRACS Initiative continues unabated as NASCO continues to run interference for Lockheed Martin and its Red Chinese partners.

Stay tuned, this battle is just heating up and will continue for the foreseeable future. I encourage all of you to contact your legislators, wherever you may be, and tell them your state should disassociate itself with NASCO and Lockheed Martin.

Further, I encourage everyone to purchase or check out from your library The Late Great USA by Dr. Jerome Corsi. This NAFTRACs plan is part of a larger plan to strip the United States and Canada of their manufacturing power (what's left of it) and flood the United States and Canada with cheap goods from China. This plan is not good for Mexico, the United States, Canada, or China. Workers in China receive wages that are even too cheap for Mexico to compete with. The planned port in Lazaro-Cardenas, Mexico is designed to circumvent the Longshoremen's Union on the West Coast and to break the United Transportation Union. This is not a left-right issue, this is a human citizen issue. These plans benefit the elite and large corporations while further subjugating the United States and Canada to them and further turning China into a plantation of labor for cheap goods. No human deserves the ill effects of these nefarious plans, whether they be Mexican, American, Canadian, or Chinese.

Please, please, please, turn off American Idol, MTV, or the Caveman show brought to you by an insurance Company and wake up to the reality of what is going on with the world. I know it's not pleasant, but it is real and these are serious times. Whatever you have traditionally considered your political persuasion to be, this is an issue that unites all of us.

NASCO, Lockheed Martin, and “Total Domain Awareness”: Hell on earth

Despite persistent claims to the contrary and nearly limitless nauseating marketing and public relations platitudes, evidence of the steady progression of North American economic integration is available to anyone with a little knowledge of state open records laws, persistence, and a desire for a future bereft of oppression. Further, NASCO’s cooperation with the Security and Prosperity Partnership is admitted and boasted of in their promotional materials supplied to their members. The reach of this tracking is continent-wide.

A recent request under the Minnesota Data Practices Act yielded a treasure trove of damning information. Foremost among these documents was a Letter of Intent between North America’s Supercorridor Coalition, Inc. and Savi Networks, LLC, a wholly own subsidiary of Lockheed Martin. Along with the Letter of Intent were hundreds of pages of documents detailing how NASCO plans to implement the infrastucture of the NAFTA Superhighway.

This document details Lockheed Martin's plan to utilize NASCO to track, control, and tax “all modes of transportation.” NASCO has insisted again and again that it does not promote a “NAFTA Superhighway.” Upon review of these documents, it’s clear that NASCO and Lockheed Martin have a “better” idea: attach a tracking device to all modes of transportation and, as a “long-term objective,” “design, fund, implement, operate and maintain a self-sustaining business that facilitates surface transportation.” Maybe NASCO wasn’t lying when it said it doesn’t support a new “NAFTA Superhighway.” Why would anyone want to improve any infrastructure when Lockheed Martin and NASCO can simply attach a tracking device to all modes of transportation and have “revenue sharing” with the government? This sounds like a pretty profitable endeavor for a self-described “non-profit organization.” The interplay of Lockheed Martin (a for profit company), NASCO (a “non-profit” organization), and various governmental entities in this whole scheme is disturbing to say the least. However, they are not surprising to those who pay close attention. One wonders how the revenue made off of the populace is to be parceled out between these various interests. Oh wait, NASCO and Lockheed Martin are going to work that out in their “definitive agreement.” It’s about time Lockheed Martin got a cut out of my trip to the grocery store.

The “centerpiece” of this plan is the concept of Total Domain Awareness. What is “Total Domain Awareness?” It is an Orwellian nightmare involving: the ability to “[a]utomatically gather, correlate, and interpret fragments of multi-source (Radar, AIS, & GPS tracks, Open Source, Intelligence, Watch list & Law Enforcement Report, CCTV, Bioterrorism sensors) data together into one collaborative portal-based environment [sic].” This sounds even worse than a huge superhighway, no wonder why NASCO never mentions any of these details on its website.

All of this information is going to be fed into one central location that NASCO has shamelessly named the "Center of Excellence." At least Orwell's tyrants had the dignity to be creative with the names of their various maniacal bureaucracies. So, who or what will administer the “Center of Excellence?” Well, what better place to house this Orwellian nightmare than: “Lockheed Martin’s militarized GTN (Global Transportation Network) Command and Control System?” The Total Domain Awareness system has already “been installed and is operating and is operating in Washington, DC & Lockheed Martin’s Center for Innovation (The “Lighthouse”) in Chesapeake, VA [sic].”

We will all be much safer with Lockheed Martin tracking our movements from Washington, DC.

This troubling plan is laid bare in a series of email exchanges detailing the courting and recruitment of a few Minnesota Bureaucrats by a few persistent NASCO lobbyists. Under the provisions of the Minnesota Data Practices Act, the state was required to release all of its information relating to Minnesota’s membership in NASCO. Just beneath the surface of all on these documents is the undisputable hand of military industrial complex giant Lockheed Martin. President Dwight D. Eisenhower was not kidding when he said in 1961: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.”
Truly, a major defense contractor tracking our every move here in our own country is undoubtedly a threat to our liberties. If President Eisenhower were alive today, he might say: “See, I told you so.”

This is yet another menacing aspect of the toll road lobby, one they really don’t want you to know about at all.

I have created this blog specifically to post information I have learned regarding the NASCO organization that I obtained via a request to view documents at the Minnesota Department of Transportation under the Minnesota Data Practices Act.

There is a ton of information in the documents, and I am going to figure out how to post them all in PDF format. I encourage everyone to review them and write about them as they please.

What will follow is a brief article I wrote summarizing the worst news these documents contain. I assure the authenticity of these documents, as I made the request myself and reviewed the documents myself, and they have been in my possession entirely since obtaining them from MN DOT.
